What is the main difference between paraffin and soy candles?
Soy candles are a healthy and sustainable alternative to paraffin candles. They burn without smoke and soot and at lower temperature. Soy candles produce a more balanced and long-lasting scent. Soy wax burns about 45% longer than paraffin. Soy wax comes from sustainable resources and is much more planet-friendly than paraffin.

Do you have a shop I can visit?
We don’t have a brick-and-mortar shop so far. You can visit our stand weekly on a Saturday market in Leiden Centrum, just in front of the Townhall. It is also possible to make a private appointment in our home studio if you’d like to smell the candle first and don’t have a possibility to come over to the market. We’re planning to expand our sales points to different stores across Europe in the close future.
Do you ship to other countries?
Yes, we do ship to most of the countries within Europe. The shipping cost is counted according to DHL rates. If you’d like to ship to countries outside Europe, you can message us to discuss the possibilities.
Do you issue VAT invoices?
In 2023 Candle Time is VAT-exempt, which means there is no vat added to our prices or invoices. The vat rate on our invoices is 0%. If you are a company, you can still include the purchase in your business expenses. We also issue 0% invoices for business customers from the EU (intra-community supplies).
Can I order candles with customized labels?

Can I order candles in bulk?
Yes, you can order candles in bulk. By this, we understand that you are either an individual customer or a company, and you’d like to order a minimum of 15 candles. This sort of order is not intended for a re-sale. You can send us a message with information on the number of candles, scent specifications, and possible customization (like custom labels), and you will receive a custom offer at a discounted price.
